Wed, 27 September 2006 This is the first and last time I will bring up this subject. The Game's the Thing is not an expensive endeavor in the grand scheme of things. It is also not free. Aside from an equipment and software outlay of just under $200, I have an annual operating cost of about $120. Since the equipment is already bought and the operating costs are installment-based ($5 here, $12 there, etc.), I'm not trying to say there's a hardship here. I would, however, like to spend some money I don't have improving the quality of the show. Some of the things I'm... read more Category: general -- posted at: 2:44 AM Comments[0] |
Sat, 23 September 2006 So, we're officially back! We manage to complete undercut our 45-80 minute goal and produce a show that's just over 28 minutes. That said, we have four reviews for you! Be sure to listen all the way to the end to hear Ron let the cat out of the bag about our first RPG show interview. Games discussed/reviewed: Yinsh Punct Boomtown Wits and Wagers As promised, a positive Blue Moon City review. Comments[0] |
Tue, 19 September 2006 We are right on track with the Season Two opener that will be released this Friday. Also, I have just confirmed the interview guest for the first TGTT roleplaying show that will release on October 6th. I'm not ready to disclose it, but it is huge. Tue, 12 September 2006 Kainan and I have put together what we think will be a great new format for the show. We have decided to go with a twice-monthly, dual-format show. Some details are in order. Our season opener will be released on or around Friday, September 22nd. After that, we will move to the 1st and 3rd Friday-ish of the month. This means, for example, that in October the shows will be on the 6th and the 20th. Dual-format, you say? Yes! Since I'm pretty diverse with my tabletop gaming, we've decided that the show will take turns between board and card games and... read more Category: general -- posted at: 5:41 PM Comments[0] |
Wed, 6 September 2006 You may have noticed the conspicuous absence of new The Game's the Thing podcasts. Well, more "stuff" has happened to prevent Kainan and I from bringing shows to our small but dedicated audience. This seems to be clearing up, though, so look forward to new shows soon. During this downtime, I have been contemplating what I do and don't like about the show, as well as what I would like to see The Game's the Thing accomplish. Part of this is due to limited time, and part of it is due to my varied interests in the... read more Category: general -- posted at: 5:28 PM Comments[0] |
